Yamaha’s New 2011 YZ125 is a Two-Stroke Dirt Bike

Though four-strokes are considered ideal for development of dirt bike technology, yet two-stroke dirt bike technology is still in hunt and competitive enough. Yamaha's 2011 YZ 125 is a two-stroke dirt bike which is looked upon as an old concept wrapped in new machine, yet a great performer

Yamaha is the only dirt bike manufacturers which is still importing two-strokes and shipping them all over the world. Yamaha standardize the dirt bike for hassle free global distribution, for instance Yamaha makes minor updates in the 2011 YZ 125 dirt bike for making it pass the European standards. For passing the standard of 96 dB sound limit, Yamaha has changed the silencer which is 75mm longer and its core diameter is increased to 27-30 mm.

The YZ125 comes with a six-speed transmission and 124cc capacity. The curb weight is claimed to be only 208 pounds which seems feather light.
